About Terence O'Brien


ABOUT TERENCE O'BRIEN

Terence O’Brien is a St. Paul–based trial lawyer who represents clients handling complex civil and criminal matters. With more than 15 years of experience at all levels of the state and federal court system, he leads the legal team dedicated to enforcing your rights and protecting your interests.

A graduate of William Mitchell College of Law, O’Brien began his career at and was later a shareholder with May & O’Brien, LLP. He has successfully argued complex legal issues before Minnesota’s District Courts, the Minnesota Court of Appeals, and the Minnesota Supreme Court. He also represents clients before the U.S. District Court of Minnesota and the U.S. Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals.

As a mediator, O’Brien is on the Minnesota Supreme Court’s roster as a qualified neutral under Rule 114 of the Minnesota Rules of General Practice. O’Brien is a past volunteer board member of the Animal Humane Society of Ramsey County, and a current volunteer director of the Twin Cities Civil War Roundtable and the Alice M. O’Brien Foundation. He volunteers as a coach for the St. Paul Parks & Recreation youth lacrosse program.
